At tho Police Court Charles Kiwi Wilkinson pleaded not guilty to forging a cheque for £6O on the Bank of New Zealand. Wilkinson and William Alexander Boyd wore charged jointly that they forged and uttered a cheque for £135 purporting to be signed by T. S. Collins. The police produced a. statement by admitting the offence. It appears the two accused agreed to the forgery. Wilkinson suggested operating on Collins' account up to £'2ol), but lioyd disagreed. They finally agreed to make it £13;). The accused pleaded not guilty, and were committed to the Supreme Court on ail the charges. lioyd was released on hail, himself in £SO and another surety of £SO and two of £25 each: Wilkinson himself' £10(1, two others of £SO or one of £IOO.
