' The Canadian Northern Company lias, succeeded in obtaining a mail contract from London to Hongkong, thus ousting the Canadian-Pacific Company. Contracts have been signed with the Union Company for a direct service from •Vancouver to Auckland for five, years. The Canadian-Australian service will be discussed .at the Imperial Conference.
