PLOT TO KILL THE CONGO WHITES.

The Independence Beige receives from the private address of a high authority the story of a plot to kill all whites in the Congo which lias been discovered in Boma, the administrative capital. The plot was formed among some natives who had arrived from the Welle district. The inhabitants of this region are known as Maniamas, or :Niamas, ; a powerful ..Central African tribe, which is in most respects superior to the ordinary negro. From this tribe the "boys'.' are generally recruited. The "boys", concerned . in. the conspiracy thought the occasion was fitting, it is stated, to kill all the whites at hand, .and assume the government. Everything was ready and' all precautions had been 'taken. A European dis-aster,-it is considered, would have been certain, had not one of the "boys" concerned betrayed his comrades at the eleventh hour.

This man. revealed the,fact that all the leading officials were to be shot down with, revolvers during:.the progress of an official dinner..
