i -A Greymoutli message states that Pr Hanwelt Williams,- for. many .Teats' superintendent of the Greymoutli Hospital, since when he established a wellknown pharmacy, died suddenly of heart disease, aged 77. He was one of the oldest residents here, and- also the. oldest pharmacist in the Dominion He leaves a widow and three sons. A telegram, fiom Dunedin states that Mr Breen has lesigned fiom the Secretaryship of the Otago Trades and L.ilior Council Mr Stanley Cioss, who h.is heon accepted " hy the Methodist Chnicli as <i .home.missionary, left Oamarti to-day to Jta£e- : charge of the Palnierston and Waikouaiti circuit, rendered vacant by the demise of the Rev C E Somerville.
