Wellington, May 9Weather summary and forecast: — S:rong easterly winds and showery weather have been experienced, northward of East Cape and Kawhia, but moderate and variable winds elsewhere. Fogs and much haze were reported tpdav. bat the weather has been fine in most parts of the country. The barometer has fallen everywhere, and especiallv in the far north. The present indications are for a falling barometer e-ervwhere. Rain is probable nortnivard of Kawhia and Castle Point, and increasing haze and cloudiness may produce a change shortly in other parts or the country. Strong easterly winds are probable northward of East Cape and kawhia. and increasing easterly ana northerly winds elsewhere.
