A MOUNTAIN OF A MOLEHILL. Timaru, May.9. Referring to the cable to the evening papers that the steamer Kasenga, on a reef, was attacked by cannibals of German West Africa, Mr C. H. Mason, of Timaru, says Mr Brooking, an exTimaruvian, is third engineer on the vessel, and in his last letter from East London, from whence she was bound to New York, he stated that the vessel had been aground for some hours on a sand-bank. This is probably the whole basis of the New York story.
