DRAUGHTS ASSOCIATION.

(I'eu l'irr.HS Association.) Dtiuudiu, April 27. The annual of the .New Zealand Draughts Association was held tonight., Mr R. Caldow (['resident; occupied the cliair, and about 25 members were present. Mr Hilliker, Hon. Secretary of the Association's executive, said that the Auckland Committee had not sent any account of the moneys 't received and expended, and they could do nothing as far as the treasurer's report was concerned. The Chairman said the Auckland Committee would pay out prize iimne.y less expenses, and would have no balance. He believed there was £25 in the bank to the credit of the New Zealand Association, and this might be added to from time to time to form a prize fund.

It was decided thiit tlie next _championship meetiiifi be held at Well in gton under the auspices of the Working Men's Club. The disqualification imposed on .1 Wellington plaver in 1003 was removed. The 'names of A. Matheson and F. Keenan wvix- added to the permanent executive in place of Messrs Montgomery and Uutterlicld, retired. The following officers were elected:— President, the President of the Work-rig Men's Draughts Club; Vice-Presidents, the Vice-President of the above Club and Mr Brownlee.
