CURRENT NOTICES.

All over the world the greatest interest is being /taken in the tercentenary of the English Bible. Notice is elsewhere given of the citizens' meeting to be,, held after church service in the Opera House next Sunday evening in connection with this great event. The chair will be taken by the Rev. W. J. Williams; and addresses will be given by the Revs. R. J.' Porter and F. G. Buckingham, also Mr F. Mil nor, Rector of the Waitaki High School. As the subject is one of universal • interest, no doubt there will be a very large attendance. Messrs Dalgoty and Co. have received word that the "Arapawa" is further delayed and cannot reach Oamaru till Saturday night. She will load at 8 a.m. on Monday.

The public are reminded of the clearing sale to be held to-morrow on Messrs Scott and Anderson's farm at Balruddery. The Oamaru Auctioneers' Association will hold their usual skin sale to-mor-row.

Messrs J. D. Hamilton and Sons report having sold, on account of Mr J. Wallace, six acres freehold, Waiareka, to Mr D. Robertson, also three acres education lease to Mr W.
