THE NEW ISSUE.

V It has already been ; announced- that Mr Bertram Mackennal, A.R.A., has been design.;the new • King' "George issue of' postage stamps for the Dominion. Some further particulars are now available regarding them. The Hon. James Carroll (Minister in charge of the Department) states .that, all the new stamps will ; bear: a representation of King George,'"and their denomination will he. in-Arabic numbers. They ■'wjll .be of,,the. same colors as the present''issue—namely, green for halfpenny, red for'penny, and blue for twopence halfpenny, this being in accordance with the arrangement agreed upon by all countries included iii the Postal Union.
