OTEPOPO PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

(From our Own-Correspondent.) The . . thanksgiving services; were held 6ri Sunday, 12th inst. The choir rarid pulpit platforms were very tastefully decorated, with cereals and flowers; and two tables in front of the psws were loaded with .vegetables and fruit, chiefly therofferings of-Ike Sabbath School children. The services were conducted by the Rev. P. C. Renhie, who preached acceptably from appropriate texts. In the morning the sermon, from Esther 1:22, "He sent letters," was especially for the "children. In the evening the text was-chosen from Deuteronomy 28:5, "Blessed' Shall be thy basket arid 'thy store." The service of. praise was suitably selected, and the choir, under Mr Drakley, rendered several anthems most creditably. The sale ; of produce tookplace in the hall the . following evening. . Besides the business on-hand several musical selections were, rendered, ' and contributed greatly to the harmony of the evening, the items rendered being ■— Piano-solo, "Carnaval de Veriise,''' Miss Fleming;.recitations, "The Lifeboat," Mrs A. Frame, and "The Alarm," Rev. Ronnie; anthems, "How Excellent," "I Will Extol Thee," and "Let the People Praise Thee," by the choir. Altogether the .effort was very successful, and about £22 will be handed oyer to the mission schemes of the Church. "_ .' .. :
