WATER IN USK STREET.

To tlie Editor. Sir, —As one of the oldest residents ip TTslf street. I feel it incumbent upon myself xo nave a word to say on the subject of a water main for this street. I fully endorse the sentiments expressed in the letters appearing in lasj, night's issue, and I consider it high time that both this street and Exe street were supplied as all the others are both north and south of us. The necessity -of the work need not be enlarged lipon, for the Council must be fully aware that it is urgently required, as it lias been raised again and again by the Superintendent of the Fire Brigade as well as by residents. We pay our rates from year to. year; when demanded, and it only remains for the powers that be to give iis what we pay for.—l am, etc., JAMES TAIT. ~ . Usk street, January 24.
