Webb, assisted by the teachers, were carried out successfully. A thoroughly enjoyable day was spent on the beach, and the pipnickers returned home by the evening train.

The harvest is now in full swing in this district. Despite the long spring drought and the many evil forebodings of a poor harvest the crops are cutting well up to the standard of past seasons.
