Received January 21, at 0.20 a.m. Sydney, January 20. The Coraki fire broke out at three in the morning at the rear of Stokes and Priddice's. tailors; in the main street, and demolished the whole block except the corner store. Most of the buildings were new. The Commercial Hotel was one of the best on the north coast. Altogether twelve buildings were totally destroyed. The fire had to be fought with buckets of water from the river. The wind, dropping, prevented a further disastrous spread.
