TRESPASSERS ON RACECOURSES.

(Per Press Association.) . Wellington, November 4. In a Magistrate's Court 'case lately the Magistrate held that a racing club was not entitled-to exclude anyone from racecourses without proving that such person was an undesirable. The: club did not try to prove defendant was an undesirable, and the case was dismissed. To-day, before Judges Stout, Cooper, and Chapman, the club appealed, and the Court held that the Magistrate was wrong. All he had to_ decide was whether the man was a trespasser or not. The case was referred back to the Magistrate. Christchurch, November 4. No fewer than forty charges against unlicensed bookmakers of trespassing on the Riccarton; racecourse during the Grand National meeting were ..dealt with at the Magistrate's Court to-day. All the persons charged pleaded guilty. Some were dbnvictod and ordered to pay costs and others were fined in varying amounts.
