■Mr Hugo Gorhtz, a keen enthusiast himself, is acting- as Dr. Harnss' representative m New Zealand, and will .b£ in Oamaru on. Saturday next. He will, so far as he is .able", meet those interested .in music,' -and: with this object in view will address a meeting of tHose interested in the -project at the Borough Council -Chambers on Satur-day-afternoon..'ln a-letter he says: "Ijf w can get the Mayor, the cleFgy, the .choirmasters, and other leading musicians together I shfll be pleased; above all we require the co-operation of'the ladies. Dr. Harriss' choir numbers 200, and they are drawn from the great Sheffield organisation that helps to 'make the festival in that city one of the most famous. His aim is to combine with colonial choral and orchestral bod'ps to produce .some of the great works, and it is worthy the support of all .who realise the pleasure of music.
