The House of Representatives has finished the recommittal stage of the Land Tax Bill, and the third reading is fixed for Tuesday. A clause was carried that notice be. given in the Naval Bill em-powering-the Government to create and'build a navy and establish shipbuilding vards, docks, and depots, and deal with" discipline of the naval lorces and raise a naval force.
