IN THE COURTS.
(Pek Press Association.) Dunedin, September 28. The following prisoners were sentenced by Mr Justice Williams this morning: John O'Brien, alias Ma honey,with several Australian records, for stealing, was sentenced to nine months' for the theft of overcoats from shop doors. His Honor regretted he had no power to deport prisoner back to Australia. He warned the prisoner that if he was again convicted he would be returned to his country as. a habitual criminal for the rest of his life. Thomas Ariidge was sentenced to thr;;e months' for horse-stealing ; and Alfred Ernest Ariidge. a younger brother, was admitted to probation for 12 months. I
