PTOMAINE POISONING.

(Per Pkess Association.) Auckland, September 26. A fatal case of ptomaine poisoning has occurred in the Mount Roskill district. Mr and Mrs Robert Salmon, with two sons, were spending yesterday afternoon on. the Manukau Beach, and during the afternoon boiled some pipis in a tin and ate them. One of the boys, named Claude, about 12 years old, was taken ill, and finally a doctor was called in. The case proved fatal, however, the boy dying this morning. The other boy was also taken ill, hut his case is not likely to throve fatal.
