PERSONAL.
Mr Ritchie, senior School Inspector of North Canterbury, died in Christchurch last night. Mr R. Irving, juu., of Clinton, who has interests in Vancouver, and who left this Dominion recently to inquire into them, has decided to stay there for some time, having accepted the position of president of the Canadian Investors' Company. Mrs Irving has gone on to Scotland. Mr Irving expects to be able to get back to New Zealand for a hurried visit in December next.
