George Henry Russell, father of the present Mayor of Greymouth, (lied tliis morning at ftrevmouth, aged 78. Mo was a much-respected pioneer settler engaged in the development of the sawmilling and gold mining industries. 'He laid tramways through the Marsdi'ii district thirty years ago and settled at Marsden.
