The public gardens at Chalons are submerged, and the valley of the Orge below Paris is transformed into a swamp. News of floods comes from all parts of France, v Berne, July 12. Extraordinary rains have fallen throughout the country. Berlin, July 12. There are great floods in the valleys of the Leek and Neckar. A landslip near Wislock completely ruined the village, but the inhabitants had been forewarned and fled.
