(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, May 9. TJios. Pringle, engine-driver, who was injured at Hornby on Thursday through his head coming in contact with an overhridge, died at the hospital this morning. Christchurch, May 10. A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest on Thomas Pringle, engine-driver, who was injured oil the south line last week. The train that Pringle was driving included a •'dead" engine, and, as something seemed to be' wrong with its brakes, Pringle climbed over the tender to examine them. He was returning to his engine when his head struck an overhridge. The injuries did not at first appear serious, but on Sunday Pringle lapsed into unconsciousness and died in the hospital. 1
