Received April 29, :it 05 a.m. Melbourne, April 28. ■ The,.counting in connection with the Federal Referenda is not yet complete, but the following is olficially regarded as practically final: The financial agreement is defeated by 26.568 and the State debts question is " carried by 127.010 votes. New South' Wales voted no on both questions, Victoria rejected the agreement, but accepted the State debts,*" South Australia rejected the agreement but accepted the debts, whilst Queensland, Westralia, and Tasmania accepted both proposals. Received April 29, at 10.25 a.m. Syoney, April 29. Roused by the result of the Federal elections, the State Liberal party is actively organising for the coming election. A movement is also afoot for reorganising the party throughout the Commonwealth. Melbourne, April 29. The Labor party to-day will hold a ballot for the selection of the MinistryAt tho request of Sir Robert Best, the Senate votes will be recounted. . Mr Hughes, speaking at" a -social function, said if land values were not taxed by this Parliament then the Labor party would not deserve to get into the Federal Parliament again. The State Treasurer announces' that the Government intends to proceed with the Land Tax Bill this year.
