As a result of "divorce proceedings an English woman named Mrs Hawke secured the custody of her two children in England in 1904. From the date of the trial the husband and the children disappeared'. The mother remained in ignorance of their whereabouts till' a few weeks ago, when slie learned that they were in Western Australia. ;
Mrs Hawke arrived by mail boat this week, and the legal machinery was put in motion to establish her claims. The mother met her children to-day for the first time in sis years.
