Receivefl March 31, at 1.40 a.m. Sychiey,-March 30 The secretary of the Methodist Mission has received a- cable from Suva announcing great damage to the mission buildings, and a number of casualties-, but no fatalities. The' damage, as fains is known, is estimated at £3OOO. Received Mar6h 31, at 11.30 a.m.

Norfolk Island reports that a heavy gale on Monday and yesterday morning did considerable da r mage, and a portion of'the whaling sheds was washed away. Three boats are missing, the mission shod was damaged, and great damage was done .to' verandahs, roofs, and fencing Pine trees were uprooted all over tho islands. -';'■■■•
