POST OFFICE ROBBERIES.
(Pes Press Association.) Wellington, September 1. The fifth day of the trial of Arthur F. Wimsett, charged with complicity ill the robbery of the parcels post office in January last, was entered upon to-day. Accused's wife related a conversation she had with Hemingway in gaol. Witness spoke of her husband's arrest and asked Hemingway what he was going to do. Hemingway replied, "! am going into the box to give Wimsett five soiid years, as he has given to mc." She replied, "How can you do that?" Hemingway answered, "I am in for five years. What with you giving up stuff to detectives and Arthur with his long tongue telling the detectives I was" in Svdney lam here." He added that the detective told him that Wimsett had given information away. Several witnesses testified to the good character of AVimsett.
