DEFAMATION OF INSURANCE COMPANY.
INDISCREET AGENT. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.] (Per Press Association.) Received August 31, at 1.20 a.m. Brisbane, August 30. The Mutual Life and Citizens' Company obtained a verdict for £IOOO and costs against Y\"aldc;i, an insurance agent in the employ of the A.M.P., for defamation- by making disparaging statement about the plaintiff company's methods. The defendant denied that he ever made disparaging remarks. The verdict was for the full amount claimed.
