Tenders were opened for laying water mains and boundary connections to reticulate Augustine, ISond, and Oxford streets (oiUiikle the borough) as follows:—0. Hodges and Co.—Mains £99 17s fid, short connections 16s. long connect ions 275; A. T. Kiksscll—Mains £99 17s 6d, short connections 255, long connections £2: V. K. Wilson—Mains £IOB 4s, short connections 17s 3d, long connections 27a 6d. —The lender of C. Hodges and Co. was accepted; Iho work to be done under the supervision of the Water Committee.

G. Campbell, a county resident, asked to be allowed to connect with the borough water service.—Granted; all cools to ho borne l-.y applicant and charge to be at the rate" of £2 10s per year.'"
