The Kilties.

The enthusiasm over the approaching visit of the Kilties is growing. The star combination of bandsmen, pipers, and dancers will have a. mighty reputation to keep up. But there can be little doubtbut that- they will sustain it. Everywhere they have gone they have put up records and - have left . the mark of their genius behind them in the memories of the peo pie, Much as there has been written them, it does not tell of all of their achievements and they have to be seen and heard in order to get an adequate opinion. The uniform worn is a military one, as the band had a military origin. The music played is the best. It is full of the sparkle of champagne and carries the people away. The more you get of it the more you want. When the band visited Britain they swept through the country in a- whirlwind of melody. England is a great country for band music. The bandsmen there night in the forefront are able to offer opinions, and when they placed the hall mark of approval on the "Kilties" they knew that the people would take them at the high value placed upon them. New Zealand has must to learn in band music, and there is no doubt that this visit will result in profit to bandsmen who go to study their methods. But they have singer's who rouse enthusiasm, pipers who skirl out the wild slogans of the highlands, dancers who set every foot beating, stalwart men who strike awe, and the whole combination makes the heart beat and the blood pulse through the veins. The Kilties are coming in all the panoply of music and it is safe to saythat tin's town will bubble over with excitement and enthusiasm.
