Menlove, Windsor Park; g-sire, British Lion (imp.), champion horse of the Dominion of his time; dam, Maori, champion at Timaru, 1906, never being beaten in a show ring; g-dam by Sir Arthur Gordon; Maori's sire, Tasman; g-sire, Duncan Gillies (imp); Tasman's dam. Mos? Rose, champion mare at Dunedin Exhibition, 1889, also at Oamaru, Christchurch, and Palmereton. It will seen by his breeding that Lion's Pride is a new strain of blood to the district, and should command the attention of breedere. Terms: £4 4s; half at end of season, half mare proves in foal.
