The Acting Town Clerk rashes to remind ratepayers that next Monday. 14th inst., is the "last day on which the Airrent half-year's rates will he received without the imposition of the 10 per tent, penalty. To save time, all persons paying rates are requested to bring or send their rate demands when paying, and not to wait until the last day. The annual meeting of shareholders in the Oamaru Woollen Factory Company, Ltd., takes place in Mr K. Piper's rooms, Thames street, at 8 p.m. next Monday. Messrs Bruce Christie and Co. have a well-improved farm of 200 acres for lease. The property is well watered and most conveniently" situated, -while immediate possession will be given.
