One c-o::solir._' feature is the- fact that the district h.-s now an ethdent Ambulance Rrittade ready for any emergency. There is" a steady increase in the number of the suppliers and also in the supply to the local creamery. The daily re turn now amounts to 12C0 gallons, with every indication, of a still "further ini crease. Many suppliers are annoyed at i the long wait- that is necessary through there just being one separator, but no i doubt the directors of the T. and I'. will ! consider the necessity of supplying another, as- new suppliers are coining along and others liave expressed their intention of doinu: so next year.

WILLOWBRIDGE NOTES. Oar Willowbridire correspondent writes: —'flit- ladies that attended Dr Cruiekshank's home nursing class, invited tile Doctor to a social in the Haiiiiaton School on Thursday evening. Mr Murray, who occupied the c'nair. referred to the inconvenience- and discomfort Dr Cruiekshank put herself to in attending the classes on cold and dark winter evenings. Mr Murray said he knew the guest of the evening in her school days., noted her cleverness,"" and watched her career ever since, and was so glad to meet her now under such happy circumstances. A musical programme was gone through, the_ following ~ taking part:—Mesdames Shrimpton, Mevers. and T. Haymaii. Misses Meyers, "Wall, C. Faulkner, and Mr K. Sinclair. Hesitations were given by Messrs Hay and Duncan, and Mis Shrimpton then, oil behalf of the classes presented Dr Crnickshank with a pair of massive nhoto frames in bronze and the recipient replied. Both ladies were in the happiestspeaking vein, and their addresses were greatly appreciated. Abundance of tea, cake, "and confectionery was then served and ten minutes were spent in pleasant conversation. Cheers for the doctor and the singmtr of Aold .Lang Syne brought a most pleasant little gathering to a. close. It was mentioned during the evening that candidates for home nursing certificates couM not sit for examination unless they held certificates for "'first aid."" This was held to be a mistake, especially in country places, and Mr Murray undertook to make representations in the matter.
