(Per Pkess Association.) Wanganui, November 30. As the date of the Arnst-Wcbb contal approaches interest in the contest is increasing rapidly. The weather recently lias been very' favorable, for rowing find both men have done a lot of good work since being in camp. Arnst rows twice daily, covering l l2 mules altogether in company with Fogwell. He has had several solid spins over the full course, but so far has not attempted rimy record-break-ing. Ho is in. splendid fettle, and in rowing in .capital stylo, ahvayti appearing to have a deal of reserve power, though' he hicks tho finish of tho champion. Fopwell invariably leads tho challenger in; spins, but the impression prevails llttl' Arnst has not shown what lio is capable of, and probably wo will luivo to wait till tho day of the race to see how good hu really is.
