TAKAPUNA RACES. (Per Pkess Association*.) Auckland, November 28. The opening day's racing in connection with the Takapauna Racing Jockey Club ■spring meeting took place on the Club's course at North Shore this afternoon. The weather was fine, and nothwithstanding the strong counter-attraction of the Show, there was a good attendance. The sum of £7727 10s .was invested on the totalisator. Additional results: —

At the distance Advocate was the leader, but a little further on Poliutai dashed upon the outside and, catching Advocate a short distance from the post, the pair flashed nast locked together, the judge declaring a dead heat; First Gun a length and ahalf away third; with Tui Cakobau fourth. 2min 12 l-sth sec.
