Obituary—Mr James Munr'o, ex.Preinier of Victoria. [The Hon. James Munro was born at Glen Dubh, Sutherlahdshire, in 1832, and became a member of the Victorian State Parliament in 1878. He was Minister of Education in the first Berry Ministry in 1875. Mr Munro in 1890 attacked the policy of the Gillies Government and succeeded in ousting them, himself becoming Premier at the head of what he styled the "National Liberal" Ministry. In 1892 he resigned the Fremiersip to Mr Shiels, having accepted the post of Agent-General for Victoria, in succession to Sir Graham Berry. Mr Munro was President of the Victorian Alliance and the Melbourne Total Abstinence Society, and was the 'acknowledged leader of the Temperance Party in the State Parliament.]
