Silver, 2s l|d. Wheat.—A cargo of Victorian sold at 29s 7d, STOCK SALES. There was a fair attendance at the Geraldine live stock market yesterday, but, owing to the inclemency of the weather on) Monday and Tuesday, very little stock came forward and the market dragged. The entry comprised about 3000 sheep, miostly old ewes. A pen of fat ewes brought 15s 9d v 6 and 8-tooth ewes in lamb sold at 18s sd, full-mouth ewes inj lamb 15s 6d, 2-tooth wethers 16s 6d, aged threequarter-bred ewea in lamb 8s 6d, lambs 13s 6d. There was a small entry of cattle, and one heifer brought £3 ss. There was also a small entry of pigs, but no 6ale. Owing to the heavy rain on Tuesday, no business was done in the Rangiora. live stock market. A few sheep were entered, but none were sold. In the produce yards some small lines of sheepskins were sold. Heavy crossbreds to 4s, lighter to 3s, heavy crossbreds to 4s, lighter to 3s, heavy merinos to 3s 6d, lighter 2s 6d; hides 3d per lb.
