CLHAIUXCi SALE. The Canterbury 'dinners' Co-opmtivo Association (per Mr <*. U. L\l. .loner;, auctioneer) report having conducted a sale at Blr Jer. O'Doiioghuc's farm, Manual mi, Studholme, yesterday. Hie attendance wax large, though tho number of lots offered was not numerous, and no uoubt the cattle and young horsos oiiered were tlie attraction. The sale started Willi implements and sundries, about 50 lots, which were soon disponed of, the cattle following, consisting of heifers near calving, which mado £5 ss, £5 12s 6d, £6, £6 IDs, £6 15s, £7 to £B. The horses followed and the heel; prico obtained was for a 2-year-filly by Knight of Snowdon, an outside entry oil account of ilr J. Leon, passed 111 at £7O 10n to Mr J. T.'K'lien ; 2 yearlings by same sins (for whom when .submitted IUO guinea.s was bid) made £l9 each, a mare in foal to tho same horse soiu at £52 10s. The stallions were not sold, and ihe goodwill of the (arm waG passed in at £305. ao was also the chaffcutting plant, at- £4OO. A number of outside entries of horses were sold under the hammer.
