Lawson, auctioneer), reports holding a sale of dairy cows oa behalf of Mr W. BowL> on the farm, Seadown (Canterbury), yesterday. The attendance was not a large oi-.e. no doubt due to the fact that the sale was postponed from Thursday last owinsr to the unfavorable weather then experienced, and that a large number of <iairy cows had placid upon the market recently. The cows, 63 in number, were a reallv fine lot, in fact a better line of wellbred* cattle would be difficult to find in the colony. They were placed before the public in the pink of condition, which reflected sreat credit on Mr Bowie for the care he had bestowed upon them. ' Compared with prices which we have obtained at recent clearing sales, Mr Bowie's cows j brought, from £2 to £3 per head less, I w'lich was somewhat disappointing, considering the quality of the animals.
