By Telegraph.

(From Our Own Correspondent. Wellington, September 17. The caucus was held till one o'clock and dissipated the hope of clearing up in three weeks. A Licensing Bill ou_all points they insisted upon-, and this is the second mandate they liave given the Government on the subject. The Land Bill is to go on, but •the closure proposal of the' proposed new Standing Orders was rejected by a- large majority and the proposal was carried to substitute Friday for Tuesday in the matter of Supply and the Estimates, making it the date on which the House goes into Committee, without discussion.
