The latter had the best start and led, followed by Famous, two lengths away, then Cruciform and Wakeful together: Ibex was first into the straight, "with Cruciform and Famous together a length off. Time, 2min 37sec. Received September 16, at 10.18" p.m. Sydney, September 16. The inquiry into the running of Weetah luring the first two days of the meeting las ended. The jockey (Stephen Callinan) was disqualified for five years, and the lorse and owner for two years. Ossian was backed in the, Metropolitan >y the owner to win £22,000, Oblivion 316,000, and T/M.S. £13,000. Strange aa fc may appear, considering the difference n the odds, it is alleged that Marvel Loch vas a worse horse for layers than T.M.S. yould have been.
