The National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Ltd., reports holding a very successful clearing sale of dairy cows, dairy utensils, etc., yesterday, on account of Mr H. Molloy, Ardgowan. The day being fine, a large number of dairymen and others interested were present from all parts of the surrounding districts, one or two buyers coming from as far north as Tiiuaru. The herd came forward in splendid condition, and, as Mr Molloy had the reputation of keeping none but first-class animals, selected for their milking qualities, keen competition was elicited right through the sale, and almost record prices were obtained. The following are a few of the prices:—Cows in full milk sold at from £7 up to £l2 15s ; Heifers in calf at from £4 12s 6d to £7. Dairy utensils, etc., sold also at correspondingly good prices.
