The most interesting items were" the half-inik-handicap, wWby Major Taylor in.s7sec, Boidi filling second place. In his qualifyin"- heat Tavlor, from syds behind scratch, covered the* distance in 56 l-sth sec, the world's competition record. Walker whs blocked, and failed to win his heat. Walker took his revenge by winning the international half-mile, I'aylor being hopelessly blocked in his heat and failing to qualify. ____________
