April 18,
The harbormaster's report, submitted to the Board to-day, shows an increasing depth of water within tho harbor, also in tho channel berth. It haa also aeon dredged between the wharf and tho breakwator, giving accommodation for a third steamer. The Board voted special gratuities to tho staff of the dredge for tho excellent work done. The tender of Sodt»ar Bros., Auckland, for a new sand pump, to bo worked from the breakwator, was accepted.
