George Frederick and Cocos wero galloped on in the Ootober Stakes, but nothing serious. 1000 to 100 has been accepted about Massinissa for the Csulfield Cup, 1000 to 70 Hymettus, 1000 to 60 each Catspaw and Thunder Queen, 1000 to 30 Holster. In the double Bobadil and Massinissa are coupled for the V. RC. Derby and Melbourne Cup to win 5000, Bobadil and Dreamland and Bobadil and Woodlark for 2000 each way. The stable backed Bunyan spiritedly for the race won by Devoted on Saturday. The latter has incurred a 31b penalty in the Toorak Handicap. The chairman of the V.A.T.C. ab a meeting to day announced that the olab made LIOOO clear profit last year over the previous year. Blue, Nobby, Cordite, Burleigh, Murata, Eiridsdale, and Hear-Hear are scratched for the Caulfield Cup, and Burleigh, Eiridsdale, and Murata for the Melbourne Cup.
