DUNEDIN MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report for tlie week ended April 21, 1897, as follows Fat Cattle.—Only 94 head were yarded, but as the trade had a fair stock on hand there was no improvement in values. Best bullocks, LS to L 9 7s 6d ; ordinary, L 6 10s to L 7 15s; small, L 4 10s to L 5 7s 6d; prime cows, 1 6 to L 7 15s ; others, L 3 to 15 103. Fat Sheep.—l46l were penred. The demand for all killable sorts, especially where the quality was good, was brisk, and prices had, if anything, a hardening tendency. Prime crossbred wethers, 12s 6d to 13s ; extra prime, 14s 3d ; prime crossbred ewes, 10s Gd to 12s Id : extra prime, 13s 6d. Fat Lambs.—ll2l were penned. Sacks in, terms. Oats.—The market has somewhat eased during the week, and the excitement noticeable has abated. Prices, however, are not quotably lower.
