(BY TELEGRAPH.) Cnr.isTCTn;i:ciT, April 21. At the live stock market the entries in nearly all classes showed a falling-ofi in numbers. The attendance was smaller than of late, and business somewhat irregular. Fat Cattle.—A large mixed entry, with a sluggish sale, and late rates were barely maintained. Steers, Lo to L 65s ; heifers, L 4 2s Gd to L 7 5s ; cows, L 3 2 3 G:1 to L 6 Fat sheep.—An average yarding of fat sheep contaiued a large proportion of ewe mutton. There were some extremely fine pens of crossbred wethers, and for these the market opened at a slight advance. A very satisfactory sale for all classes. Prime freezing wethers brought 12s to 14s 4d : lighter and not quite finished sorts, 10s to lis Gd ; maiden ewes, Os 6d to lis, and up to 13s 4d for an extra prime line ; butchers' best ewes, S.s Oi to 10i ; and maiden do. 7s to 8s 3d. Fat Lambs. —There was a falling off in numbers. The bulk of tbe yarding was inferior. Anything fit for freezing met with keen competition, and showed a slight improvement in price. Best lambs (for export; brought lis to 12s 2a, medium, do, 9s 9d to 10s 9i ; trade sorts, 7s tkl to 9s Gd ; inferior, 4s 6:1 to 7s 3J. Pigs.—The entry contained too many half fat and badly- fed sorts, aud the consequence was that fats were easier. Baconers and porkers brought from 3d to 3kl per lb ; stores sold at late rates.
