MAIL NOTICE.

Mails close at the chief Post Office, Oamaru, subject to any necessary alterations) as under:— For Northern ports, overland daily, at 2.30 p.m. Late letters mail van north express, at 3 p.m. Tuesday, 19th January. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Penguin, at 2.30 p.m. Wednesday, 20th January; SAN FR IN CISCO SERVICE. For United Kingdom and Europe, United States of America, West Indies, Centra] America, West Coa3t of South America, Sandwich Islands, per Alameda, at 2 p.m. fi Money orders and registered letters at 1 p.m. Books and newspapers at 1.30 p.m. Late letters can be posted at the travelling post office attached to the northern express till departure of train (3 p.m.), provided such letters are stamped with an additional single rate of postage, viz., 2Jd, as a late fee. This mail will be due in London on 24th February. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Takapuna, at 2.30 p.m. Thursday, 21st January. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, and Australian Colonies (except Tasmania), per Mararoa, via Wellington, at 2.30 p.m. Friday, 22nd January. For northern ports of New Zealand, per Te Anau at 2.30 p.m. Saturday, 23rd January. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Penguin, at 2.30 p.m. Monday, 2oth January. For Australian Colonies, United Kingdom, and Europe, also India, China, Japan, Ceylon, Straits Settlements, and Mediterranean Ports, etc , per Manapouri, at 6.30 a.m. (via Blufl and Hobart). Miils for Fiji, per Upolo, will close at Auckland on Friday, 29th inst.. at 4 p.m.
