A Sydney firm haa received a letter from a Manchester correspondent stating that interesting competition is likely to follow the introduction of Australian meat to the manufacturing centres, which previously were chiefly supplied from the Argentine. When the Fiona (Timaru) ? landed her cargo at Manchester, the Liverpool importers of Argentine meat immediately dropped the prices, and declared they would continue to cut them until Antipodean sheep were no longer seen in the land, dead or alive.
