Wesleyan Conference.
(by telegraph.) Auckland, March 12. At the Wesleyan Conference to-day, Te Tuihi Heretini, a Maori student, was received as a probationer. The report of the committee on the statute necessary in connection with the Methodist Union was adopted, with the draft statute. Sundry recommendations re the appointment of home missionaries were adopted. The Rev. J. S. Rishworth was placed on the permanent supernumerary list. A Committee, consisting of the President and six members, was appointed to prepare a Bill for Parliament, the expenses to be paid out of the contingent fund.
