Robert Mahoney, aged 33. an architect;, who residedat Ponsonby, is believed to have met his death by drowning in » singular manner at Ponsonby Beach on Monday. He went out in a dingey to test a mooring before bringing his yaoW across from Devonport. As he did not -return, the police searched the harbor, but no signs of the dingey or its occupant were found. It is believed that Mahoney overbalanced in pulling mooring, and that, not being a good swimmer, W was drowned within a fow hundred yaw ß of his own residence. - -.
